About Short Stirrup Equestrian

It all started with an intense love of horses for Emily and her two young daughters. They all three quickly dove into all aspects of riding and horse ownership. Six horses later and riding multiple times a week while competing in local shows, they all began to notice a large gap in girl's equestrian schooling clothes. Emily's girls LOVED to match with their favorite ponies when they rode, but finding brands in the US with high quality matching clothing in small sizes was hard to come by. We believe that it is important for young rider’s to feel and look their best in this sport even from a young age. We also know the absolute necessity of durable and comfortable riding clothes.

…so they all three got to work and SSE was born. They researched endlessly to ensure that each and every design was not only unique to Short Stirrup, but also checked all of the boxes of adorableness, high quality and comfort (both in and out of the saddle)! It is still a family run business out of their home in Atlanta, GA. Emily manages the day to day and the girls help with designing new products, inventory control and shipping!

Short Stirrup officially launched to the public in early Summer of 2023! All of our colorways can be easily mixed and matched with their 4-legged friends and barn besties- what is not to love?! We cannot thank you enough for supporting our small family business with big dreams of expanding into young rider’s closets across the US. We hope to bring a smile to every little girl’s face as she dawns her favorite color ways and places a matching saddle pad on top of her favorite pony as she gears up for a great ride 🐴
